Happy Endings
(Year 2005)

Snuffy Number One
|

Daisy
|
Snuffy was an owner surrender to
rescue. He was such an obedient and charismatic little
fellow. He helped remind us of the true meaning of unconditional
love and acceptance. He now lives with his human Mom and two
human brothers in MN.
|
Mazey is a sweet 5 year old that
came to us from a local shelter. She has the true Shih Tzu
personality that craves constant companionship. Mazey now lives
in east central WI with her retired mom and dad who love her
dearly. Her name is now Daisy.
|
|
|

Snuffy Number Two
|

Chanelle
|
Snuffy needed a special home, one with
understanding and lots of love, for this dog had been mistreated for so
long.
Snuffy would defend himself with a nip if he did not understand what
you were up to or he felt
threatened. After spending over 2 months with his foster parents he was
becoming a great dog. He was starting to trust humans again. No more
ducking when you went to pet him, no more growls when you tried to
correct
him. He started to play and even came to you for hugs and kisses.
Then came the time for him to go to his forever home. Would they take
the time so Snuffy could adjust
and fine faith, hope, trust and understanding with this new family that
his foster parents had picked out for him? I am happy to say the people
who adopted Snuffy are doing a great job with him. He has a brother dog
Niki that
he can run and play with and the relationship with his human family is
growing. They are very special people and will be rewarded with a great
dog as time goes by. I am happy to say Snuffy now has a Mom a Dad and a
doggie brother to call his own.
|
Chanelle came to us from a shelter in
Southern Wisconsin. Chanelle's personality matches her
looks. She now lives in southeastern WI with her new Mom.
|
|
|

Boomer
|

Pumpkin
|
Boomer
came to us from an elderly home where he led a very sheltered
life. Boomer learned how to socialize with dogs and strangers
while he was in foster. He now enjoys the company of both.
Boomer has made his new home in southern WI with his Dad, Mom, human
brother, canine brother, Hawkeye and 3 feline siblings, Reebock, Smoke,
and Nike. He is dearly loved by all.
|
Pumpkin
is a sweet, 8 year old who was no longer wanted. She did not have
the best life before rescue. Pumpkin broke her leg early in life
which was not treated. The bone healed wrong but does not stop
her from enjoying life. She now lives in east central WI with her
new Mom and Dad who give her the love she missed out on the first 8
years her life.

Yoshi
|

Gizmo #2
|
Yoshi
spent his first weeks of life in a puppymill until he went to a pet
store in southern WI. He had deformed front legs and hip
dysplasia. When Yoshi grew up he
looked more like a Shih Tzu/Lhasa mix than even a poorly bred purebred
Shih Tzu. He was sold as a purebred. Yoshi's previous
owners saw this cute little puppy and bought him. Yoshi came to
us at 12 months of age with a lot of behavior issues due to his puppy
energy, inexperience dog owners, and bad advice on how to correct these
undesired behaviors. We worked through those issues while he was
in foster and Yoshi's wonderful personality came out. He now
lives in MI with his new Mom, Dad, human brother, and two Shih Tzu
sisters. His new name is now Yoda. His new owners
chose this name because it was close to Yoshi and their 17 year old son
is a huge Star Wars fan. When the new mom mentioned calling Yoshi
Yoda her son said that was as good as him getting his own car.
Yoda made himself right at home with his new family. Yoda growls
to talk to his new family like he did in foster. His talking is
very amusing and will be dearly missed by his foster mom.
Yoda is very smart and has a lot of personality that he will be sharing
with his new family.
|
Gizmo went to his new home in MN and from
the report we received from his new owners, he is doing great. He
started to make himself right at home check every room out in the
house. The first night there he slept with the man of the house and has
really developed a great friendship with him. The next night he shared
his time with his new mom, then the dad and then spent the rest of the
night in the living room recliner.
He has started to play with his toys and is really making himself the
center of attention with his antics. Gizmo and his new family are going
to be very happy. I thank the people that open their hearts and home to
our rescue dogs. I know Gizmo thanks his new mom and dad as well as the
people who turned him over to this rescue group and all the people that
are making his new life possible.

Payton
|

Sophie
|
Payton has a great home in
south
eastern WI. What a nice family that took this little boy in. His
deformed leg did not matter to his new family at all. They looked
into his eyes and fell in love with him as he rolled over for a tummy
rub. He will have another dog to call his brother in this family. The
young girl in the family could not stop petting his soft coat. His new
Mom was
so excited to be adding this little boy to their family. This match was
meant to be. I know Payton will be very happy in his new home. |
Sophie came to us at 15
months of age. Her owners had gotten her as a puppy figuring she
would bond with their baby.

Munchkin
|

Sadie
|
In
loving memory of Munchkin who passed over the Rainbow Bridge on Sunday
Feb. 4th, 2007, our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
Munchkin was surrendered
to our rescue. His parents worked constantly, leaving Munchkin to
live an isolated and lonely existence. He came to his foster
family and learned to coexist with a Shih Tzu foster brother, three
miniature horses, and three feline siblings. He received
discipline, lots of exercise, and was lavished with human companionship
and unconditional love. Upon meeting, Munchkin’s forever family
was immediately enchanted by Munchkin’s regal personality and debonair
face. He now has a human Dad, Mom, two human sisters, and a human
brother. He also lives with a rabbit and three sled dog
siblings. Munchkin’s majestic personality will make him the
center of attention in his new family.
|
Sadie was just a year old
in Dec. and came to us
because she had the perfect Shih Tzu personality. She was
originally
bought in hopes of helping their other Shih Tzu overcome his
shyness
and fear. The other Shih Tzu was intimidated by Sadie's
outgoing,
loving personality, so Sadie was turned over to
rescue. Sadie greeted
everyone with a wagging tail and love to give while in her foster
home. She has found a loving home in northern Minnesota with
her new
Dad, Mom, human brother and sister. This was love at first site
for
Sadie and her new family. |

Morrie
|

Snickers
|
Morrie is so happy in his
new home. He can run and play with his new canine sister.
He now lives out in the country. He also has a cat sibling that
he finds very interesting. Morrie is a live wire, full of
spirit. He has been blind in one eye from his puppy years but
that eye does not slow him down a bit. He may only be 7 pounds
but he still thinks he is the boss of all who lives with him. He
is now free to play with his toys and settle into his new forever
home. Morrie would like to thank all the people that applied to
adopt him. He has his faith back regarding the human race.

Sir
Snicker Doodle (Snickers) is a sweet little 2 year old Shih Tzu who was
turned into our rescue due to young kids in the home. His past
owners told us Snickers wasn't housebroken and he has never made a
mistake yet. They also told us he didn't play with toys and he
constantly has a toy in his mouth and wants to play. He is the
sweetest, lovable little guy. He loves his new Mom and Dad and 2
Shih Tzu sisters very much. He also loves going for walks and car
rides. This little one now lives in central WI and is VERY much loved.

|

Silly Dog
|

Tanner
|
| Silly (Sylvia) is a
wonderful 7 year old black Shih Tzu that came to us because her owners
no longer had time for her. She was a pleasure to have in foster
even though I soon realized she would rather be an only dog. She
happily lives with her new mom and dad in southeastern WI where
she is once again someones baby, spoiled with love. Read

It is with heavy heart

Buddy #2
|

Kelly
|
Buddy’s
family was devastated, when they had to surrender him because of
uncontrollable circumstances. Prior to spending his last three
years with a loving and devoted family, Buddy’s life was a
challenge. Buddy had lost the majority of his teeth as testament
to his past trials and tribulations. However, Buddy’s foster
family immediately realized that he was a resilient little guy even
though his history included neglect and the recent loss of a family
that cherished him. His gregarious and social personality is a
tribute to the family that had loved Buddy for the last three years of
his life.
His foster parents knew immediately that Buddy wouldn’t be in Rescue
long. Buddy enchanted everyone that he met and used his quirky
charisma on his new Mom and Dad. They found him irresistible and
couldn’t wait to make Buddy a member of their family. He is now
an only child with new parents that have very flexible work schedules
in order to spend a lot of time with their new son! Buddy will
enjoy a life of luxury including traveling in a lovely motor home and
playing with the grand-children, when they visit. This foster Mom
is sure that Buddy will be so spoiled, he will stink!
|
Kelly met her new parents
on May 22, 2005. I worried about the fact
that Kelly was 12 years old and would her new family love her and see
the dog that I see when I looked at her. Read

Jodi's mom called the
shelter to see if they still euthanized dogs. She wanted to have
Jodi euthanized because she could not stand seeing her scratching
anymore.

Noah is a 4-5 yr.
old Shih Tzu mix who came into rescue in May of 2005.
His 1st love in life is going for walks, being with kids and being with
people in general. He loves to sit on your lap and be cuddled and also
go with you in the car.
He was surrendered to rescue due to his family not being able to care
for him any longer. Noah is pretty much a "perfect" little guy. He now
lives in the Milwaukee area with his new Mom, Dad, human brother and
human sister who love him very much.

friendly Shih Tzu personality and was happy to see everyone.

Daisy #2
|

Oliver
|
Hi, my name is Daisy and
I went
to my new home today
(8-6-05) and met my new canine sister, a Pekinese with a
great
personality. The human boy of this house seems very interesting.
He was
very pleased with me and I know we are going to be great friends.
Their home is by a lake and I'm
used to the water
because at my foster home we had a pond and I liked to go and get
a drink
from the cool water there. The ladies I met were very nice and I'm told
they
are going to be my new parents. I am looking forward to my new
adventure of
getting to know my new family and living in southeastern WI. It
was a bittersweet day saying goodbye to my foster Mom and Dad and
foster Tzu
brothers and hello to my new Mom's and brother and doggie
sister. Licks and
sniffs, Daisy

Bailey #2
|

Wilson
|
Bailey was our first
foster dog, and oh what a dog he was. He came to rescue from SE
Wisconsin. Bailey was full of spunk and kisses, not to mention
that sassy attitude we love in a dog. He always greeted us with
hugs and kisses when we came home and that was just a real treat.
He found his happy home with a wonderful couple in the Milwaukee
area. They have another Shih Tzu, by the name of Sasha who is
going to show him the ropes and be his forever friend in his new
home. From what I heard they have their own play land all set up
in their newly built home. We were sad to see him go but we know
he will have unconditional love from his new Mommy and Daddy and Tzu
sister, Sasha!
|
Wilson
went to his new home today after being
returned to rescue by his previous adopted family. Things did not
work
out there.
Wilson now has a human boy to play with him. He sleeps with
him and has become his best friend. It looks like Wilson needed
lots of
attention and with a 14 year old boy he gets all he needs and much
more.
He is the only dog of the house and loves it this way. He now
lives in central WI and is doing great. |
|
|

Bailey #1
|

Gizmo #2
|
Bailey is a wonderful,
loving, well behaved Lhasa/Shih Tzu mix who came into rescue from a
shelter in western WI.
While Bailey was in rescue he bonded so fast with his foster Mom you
would have thought he lived in the foster home all of his life. He
loved playing with squeaky toys and playing fetch. He also loved
going for walks and car rides. This great little guy is now living with
his new Mom and Lhasa brother in the Madsion, WI area and his new Mom
writes that he is a "hoot" to have around.
|
Gizmo went to his forever
home in southern WI. It was love at first sight when Gizmo's new
Mom and Dad saw his adorable little face and experienced his endearing
personality.
It was obvious at the time; however, that Gizmo would be a Mama's
boy! He now has a human Mom and Dad, along with a dog brother and
cat sisters to share his unconditional love with. He has a
special place on the end of the bed with Mom and Dad, is adored by the
grandchildren, and has a dog brother that wants to be his playmate and
best friend. Mom says that Gizmo is a little reserved, but he is
starting to attach to his forever family. Mom is very
understanding, because she knows that Gizmo was moved from his previous
family, to another family, to his foster family, to his forever family
and that all the moving was confusing and unsettling for Gizmo!
If we could only tell Gizmo that he is finally home and that his new
Mom, Dad, and siblings are meant to be his forever family and that he
will be taken care of, cherished, and loved forever! If Gizmo
could talk, I think he would say, "Thank you for loving me Mom and Dad!"
